Diego Corrales
Ricardo Lois: Hey Diego, are you in training camp yet?
Diego Corrales: Yeah.
Ricardo Lois: How is it going?
Diego Corrales: Great, I am having a good time and I am upbeat for the fight.
Ricardo Lois: This fight surprised me when it was announced. The fight is dangerous for both of you. How did it come about?
Diego Corrales: I don't consider it a dangerous fight. Jason (Prince) asked me about it and I told him to look into it. Casamayor did the same.
Ricardo Lois: You are the taller, longer, and the naturally bigger man, in my opinion. You want to say anything about your strategy for this fight?
Diego Corrales: I am not going to say anything about my strategy. I will tell you that I am going to surprise a lot of people. Casamayor is in for a long night. People say Freitas is the purest puncher in the division. I am going to show everyone that I am the purest puncher in the division, blow for blow.
Ricardo Lois: Do you see yourself having trouble with making weight?
Diego Corrales: No, I don't.
Ricardo Lois: We all know about the difficulties you have had outside the ring. Yet, every time I see you after a fight or in an interview, you are upbeat and cheerful. How do you keep that positive outlook?
Diego Corrales: Life is what it is. If life gives you lemons, make lemonade. My situation is unfortunate, that is what it is. I can't let that effect me because then it effects me, it effects my wife, it effects my kids, and it effects my performance.
Ricardo Lois: I talked to Joel Casamayor last week and he said the he was training for a twelve round fight. If a knockout were to come, it comes. You have any predictions?
Diego Corrales: Something to the same effect. I think it will be an awesome fight. Joel has a lot of experience and I expect him to bring his "A" game and show some balls.
Ricardo Lois: Do you have anything else to say to your fans and those reading the interview?
Diego Corrales: Don't move to get popcorn [when watching the fight].
