A fight in which his adviser Mike Michael said, “He proved he could go 12 rounds and beat a monster.” (The fight ended in a disputed draw.) Mike is now looking to capitalize on this momentum and TalkingBoxing.com caught up with him and adviser Mike
Michael to get their take on the upcoming fight and much more.
Michael explained of his top, youung fighter, “Everything is going great, Mike has completed over 135 rounds of sparring in preparation for this fight. All due respect to Jessie Feliciano, who reminds me of Rocky Graziano with no punch, we know that Mighty Mike will be too much for him.”
Arnaoutis, who was born in Athens, Greece, is looking to show fight fans that he is the “goods.”
Arnaoutis, who is relatively young at 25, explained his respect for other accomplished fighters, “I like Levander Johnson, and I like Sharmba Mitchell, and also Arturo Gatti, if I am one half the fighter Gatti is I will be happy.”
While Arnaoutis is not looking past Feliciano, a lot of talk recently has been about a possible future fight against fellow prospect Paul Malignaggi.
Advisor Mike Michael had some choice words to say about Malignaggi, “He has no balls and no heart. Mike has balls bigger then an elephant. Mike can go in
there and rumble. Malignaggi isn’t willing to do that. Malignaggi keeps going to the press saying how people hate on him, and from our standpoint we don’t
hate him."
'Mighty' Mike responded upon being questioned about Malignaggi in a recent release, simply smiling and shaking his head. "I would fight him tomorrow. No kidding, put the contract in front of me and I will fight him anytime he wants to fight. But I don't think he would fight me. I'm not the kind of fighter he's looking to fight."
Mike Michael continued, "We will whip his [Malignaggi] ass but we don’t hate him. We at Cestus Management are building Mighty Mike into a powerhouse. We don’t babysit, we house and we feed him. We are building a world champion.”
In closing Michael stated, “We would really like to thank Gary Shaw, he does good things all the time. And we are also thankful to Warrior Boxing Organization for the Urango fight.”
