The movie will be based upon the life of the former Heavyweight Champion of the World, James Braddock and it is expected to be another Oscar worthy picture. And while we won't see Art Binkowski among the best supporting actor nominations next year, we will see him in the ring again on June 15th at the Belvedere Banquet Hall, 1170 W. Devon Ave, Elk Grove Village IL.

TalkingBoxing.com caught with Binkowski to get his views on the movie, his upcoming fight, and much more.

The charismatic Binkowski explained his role in the movie as this, "I don't have any lines, they did not like my beautiful English, but they liked my boxing. This is the biggest budget film ever filmed in Canada and I came up on the role accidentally. They saw me training and they liked what they saw and I ended up getting the part. The people involved in the movie said my fight seen with Russell is the most intense of any in the movie."

Art was impressed by the acclaimed actor Russell Crowe and asserted he was much more then a Hollywood pretty boy. "Technically wise he was not a good fighter, but he is a very strong minded person, with a lot of fighter in him. He is very tough, and very aggressive. I really enjoyed working with him."

Then when asked about his acting career, Art did not rule anything out. "Quite a few people said I have a natural talent in acting."

Binkowski who proudly represents his Polish heritage, is not too thrilled with the antics of fellow Polishman Andrew Golota and feels that a fight between the two will probably never come about. "Sure I would fight him, but you probably are not going to see that fight happen. You see he is a Don King fighter and so he will only be fighting Don King guys. And this is a business, and for me personally there really is not much to gain beating up on Golota. We are two totally different people and there are no comparisons between us, plus I am better looking then him. He does things a certain way, and I do things a certain way. My main disappointments with him are when he quit against Mike Tyson, Michael Grant, and when went low on Riddick Bowe."

For now Binkowski will focus on what he does best and that is box inside the squared circled, and he is prepared for whatever comes his way for the rest of his career. "Boxing is something I love to do, but their are more important factors in my life, like my health and the well being of my family. But I will continue to fight and do my best."
