11/29 - Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero, 13-0, is a fighter, who is looking to show the boxing world he is something special. His last dominating performance over former world champion Enrique Sanchez, has led to greater
expectations from the young 21 year-old fighter. Guerrero keeps things in perspective, and he is promising to deliver on expections within the next couple years. Talkingboxing.com caught up with the “The Ghost” to get his feelings on his future. Guerrero will also be in our
chat room this Thursday, December 2nd at 9PM. Free Autographs for all!
“I want to accomplish all I can in the featherweight
division. I am a big featherweight, and I eventually
can see myself fighting up at 135,” said Guerrero.
The 5’10” southpaw has been in the gym training hard
and he has been sparring with bigger fighters like
welterweight contender Jose Celaya. Guerrero brings a
thrilling style; that has his fans excited by what
they see.
Being a featherweight he can’t always avoid the
questions of being compared to fellow young hotshot
contender, former Olympian Rocky Juarez.
Guerrero has
nothing but the utmost respect for Juarez as a
fighter, but he also feels that some specials things
lie down the line for both.
“He is an excellent
fighter, I think in the future, he and I could be the
next Barrera-Morales,” said Guerrero.
While that super-fight fans would love to see is probably further down the line, one cannot
help but get energized when they hear the young
fighter speak.
Guerrero always keeps himself in top shape and he is
looking to fight in December. He wants to follow that
up with 3 or 4 more fights, then a title shot.
“I am
going to make that run for that title shot, and I am
going to fight who ever and when ever.” So fight fans
be on the look out. 'The Ghost' is coming to a fight
card near you.
