Trinidad Arrives in Vegas on Sunday
FRI May 6 - Felix “Tito” Trinidad will make his “Grand Arrival” at the MGM Grand hotel lobby, Sunday, May 8th just 6-days prior to his May 14 mega-fight versus former undisputed
154-pound champion Winky Wright. This will be Trinidad’s first ring
appearance in Las Vegas since he participated in a six-knockdown
slugfest with then-undefeated “Ferocious” Fernando Vargas, which Trinidad
ultimately won by technical knockout in the final round on Dec. 2, 2000.
The world’s best 154-pound boxer, Winky Wright, who has never been knocked out, moves up to battle one of the best knockout artists ever in middleweight Felix “Tito” Trinidad at MGM Grand Saturday, May 14 live on pay-per-view.
Both credibly argue being the hottest boxer in the sport today. Wright, having twice defeated the gifted “Sugar” Shane Mosley to become the undisputed 154-pound champion, has not lost a match in over five years. On Oct. 2, three-time world champion and Puerto Rican superstar Trinidad emerged from a 29-month retirement to electrify a sold out Madison Square Garden crowd by scoring a spectacular eighth-round technical knockout against former unified welterweight champion Ricardo “El Matador” Mayorga.

Norris was the WBA cruiserweight champion during 1993-1995 before returning to the heavyweight division. As a heavyweight Norris has beaten former World Boxing Council champion Oliver McCall, former WBA champs Greg Page and Tony Tubbs and former IBF king Tony Tucker. He’s also faced former undisputed world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, Andrew Golota and Vitali Klitschko. Sosnowski, who enjoys a 13-year age and seven-inch reach advantage over Norris, has a record of 36-1 with 23 knockouts and has won 17 straight dating back to 2001.
