Lofty Fights Remain for Hopkins
TUE June 7 - Current undisputed middleweight champion Bernard Hopkins wants a final fight with the last man to beat in back in 1993, Roy Jones Jr.

Hopkins, of Philadelphia, PA, faced Jones for the 'vacant' IBF middleweight title at RFK Stadium in Washington, DC, as Jones took a clear cut unanimous decision.

In the here and now, Hopkins, 46-2-1, will face contender Jermain Taylor at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on July 16th in what would be his final fight at 160-pounds. A pay-per-view televised fight that will show what the 40-year old Hopkins has left.

After that bout, Hopkins has plans of moving up to light heavyweight to challenge the winner of the June 18th showdown between Glen Johnson, a man Hopkins beat in 1997, and Antonio Tarver. If all goes as planned, Hopkins' next fight would be against Jones, if Hopkins had his druthers.

"A Roy Jones Jr.-Bernard Hopkins fight for the grand finale," Hopkins said at a recent press conference. "It's the 12-year anniversary since 1993 that we've been in the ring together."

Hopkins announced the creation of an East Coast division of Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, which he will be president of. Hopkins' first event on August 4th will feature his nephew Demetrius Hopkins in the main event.

12-Year Reign Ends: Tszyu Drops Trainer Lewis
TUE June 7 - After a rather rough loss against Ricky Hatton in Manchester, England, the now beltless Kostya Tszyu has decided to make a change in his corner, as he has fired long-time trainer Johnny Lewis.

The 35-year old Tszyu, lost via an 11th round stoppage to Hatton this past Saturday and it seems that Tszyu could have continued into the 12th round.

Tszyu's manager Matt Watt and promoter Vlad Warton have made public statements saying that Tszyu wanted to contine the fight and this was the reason why Lewis was being released.

Tszyu and Lewis have worked with each other for the past 12-years. Post-Fight Report of Hatton-Tszyu
