Kermit Cintron Responds To Zab Judah Interview

by Coyote Duran
1/25 - As you know, lately, when WBO "Interim" and NABF Welterweight titlist Kermit Cintron has something to holler about, he gives me a yell. Well, Cintron had a reason to holler after he read my recent interview with Zab Judah. [Judah Q&A] This time, Kerm dropped me an e-mail and asked me to relay the following info to all TalkingBoxing.com readers:

"I read your interview with Judah. I am going to clue you in on a few facts."

"Fact: Judah was offered a fight with me on HBO this past July 17th."

"Fact: He was approached by Main Events, the WBO, and HBO."

"Fact: He turned it down."

"He can talk all he wants about how he will fight me, but the fact remains, he turned down a fight against me on HBO for two titles.

I am predicting this now. Should Zab beat Spinks, he will not fight me. I would bet on it. Oh, and the Kermit the Frog insult?? Come on now. How many times do you think I have heard that? That's a feeble attempt at an insult. In fact, that's so old and played out that the only person that it makes a fool out of is the juvenile idiot that actually uses it."

Cintron hadn't informed me otherwise on how his hand is doing or why, officially, the Steve Martinez bout is off, but I promise that as soon as I hear something, TalkingBoxing's faithful readers will as well.

With so much happening at 147, the welterweight division could very well be THE division to watch in 2005.
