4/24 - Before a sold-out crowd at Dodge Arena in Hidalgo, TX, WBO Super Bantamweight Champ Joan Guzman defeated Fernando Beltran Jr., improving his sterling record to 23-0, as the judges scored the 12-round fight 117-111, 116-112, and 115-113. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. scored a knock out victory at the hands of Travis Hartman. Having tasted the mat in the second round and receiving and offensive onslaught from Chavez in the third, Hartman’s corner threw in the towel.
